Our 4th-grade students enjoyed their recent field trip to Padilla Bay Interpretative Center and Bayview State Park. They explored the beach, learned about the upland woods, and interacted with live animals from the tidal zone at the Interpretative Center.

2024 Summer Program Save the Date - Weeks of July 8th, 15th 22nd, and 29th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Monday thru Thursday.
Classes offered: Inventor’s Camp, Drama, Skagit Safari, and Art Academy. Kindergarten Jump Start will be offered the last 2 weeks of July 22nd and 29th.

Attention 8th-11th grade students! Do you want to have a greater voice in your school district? Are you interested in knowing how decisions are made? Do you want to take on an expanded leadership role? La Conner School District is accepting applications for student board representatives who wish to serve on the La Conner School Board. This is a one-year commitment for students starting 9th-12th grade in the 2024-2025 school year.
As a student board representative, you will have the opportunity to gain real-life experience by serving alongside the elected members of the school board. To be eligible for this position, you must currently be in high school in the La Conner School District and be in good academic standing. The deadline for applications is May 17. Congratulations to Tommy Murdock, SVH Athlete of the Week! We are thrilled to announce that Tommy Murdock, a senior and reigning state 2B hurdles champion, has been selected as the SVH Athlete of the Week for his outstanding achievements in track & field!
At the recent Northwest 2B/1B League Championships, Tommy displayed incredible skill and determination by winning an impressive four individual events. His performances were nothing short of exceptional, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
Tommy’s accomplishments include sweeping the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, with times of 14.63 and 39.46, respectively. He also secured gold medals in the 100-meter dash (11.48) and the 200-meter dash (23.40).
Notably, Tommy broke his own school record in the 110 hurdles, marking the third consecutive race in which he has achieved a sub-15-second time.
As the defending state champion in the 110 hurdles and a two-time defending state champion in the 300 hurdles, Tommy’s success on the track is truly remarkable and serves as an inspiration to his teammates and peers.
Congratulations again to Tommy Murdock on this well-deserved recognition as SVH Athlete of the Week. We are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to your continued success in the future!
