La Conner Schools Cell Phone Free

Starting in the 2024-25 school year, La Conner School District is committed to creating a cell phone free learning environment for our students. Having a cell phone free school enables us to focus on the district's strategic plan for all learners to Engage, Connect, and Achieve.

We believe that through removal of cell phones, headsets, and smart watches, students will be better able to engage with their classes and teachers, connect with each other, and achieve at higher levels. This removal will foster a stronger learning environment with fewer distractions and promote healthy social and emotional development.

As we make this shift, we want to hear your concerns and questions. Please take a moment to complete this form, and share your input. In these pages, we will try to provide answers to our most frequently asked questions and details of the policy to keep you informed.

Below are some of the highlights of the feedback we received. In addition to the questions below, respondents also provided input on the policy and asked many excellent questions about our implementation. We have compiled a list of questions we've received, and are attempting to address them here.
