La Conner School District recognizes that students in foster care may experience mobility which would be detrimental to their academic progress. In an attempt to eliminate these barriers to academic success and on-time graduation, La Conner schools will collaborate with state, local, and/or tribal child welfare agencies to minimize or eliminate educational barriers for students in out-of-home care. Should a dispute arise in the best interests of the student, the district will follow the state's foster dispute resolution process here.
