School Safety

La Conner School District has established Crisis Management Plans at each school and a comprehensive district-wide Crisis and Emergency Response Plan.

Students, parents/guardians, and staff can utilize our TIP LINE by;

All tips can be anonymous and all tips are thoroughly investigated and handled internally or forwarded to Tribal Police or the Skagit County Sheriff’s Department, as appropriate. In the event of an emergency, the District will publicize information for parents through our website, www.lcsd.wednet.edu; via Skyward’s Family Access, a web-based notification system that allows us to send messages via email and telephone; via social media, and through local media outlets, as permitted and appropriate..

Please be assured that we take extensive precautions to ensure the safety of our students. If you have questions or concerns about school safety, please contact your child's principal.

Standard Response Protocol Guidance for Students, Parents, Staff, and Community

Our district-wide safety plan follows guidance and terminology from the ILoveYouGuys.org organization, in alignment with the nationally recognized Standard Response Protocol. This terminology and guidance is posted in classrooms across our school district. When we practice drills, we use the Hold! Secure! Lockdown! Evacuate! Shelter! terminology.
