For/Against Committee Information:
The La Conner School District intends to offer levy proposition(s) to the voters of the District at the February 11, 2025, special election. Resolutions to define the propositions were approved on November 18, 2024, in the regular meeting of the Board of Directors. The District expects that the County will prepare information to be available to voters, and the District's proposition(s) will be included.
The District prepared an explanatory factual statement that describes the levy. However, state law also offers an opportunity for persons known to favor the measures to serve on a committee advocating approval and persons known to oppose the measures to serve on committees advocating rejection. The committees must prepare written arguments advocating passage (For Committee) and written arguments advocating rejection (Against Committee).
If you are interested in serving on either of the committees, please contact the Skagit County Election's office at 360-416-1702.
For/Against Committee contacts must be submitted to the Skagit County Elections Office no later than December 13, 2024.
For/Against Arguments must be submitted to the Skagit County Elections Office no later than December 18, 2024.
Rebuttal statements are due to the Skagit County Elections Office no later than December 20, 2024.

We also appreciate our families for their patience and support as we managed the logistics to keep everyone safe. Tonight, let’s all give our kids and loved ones a few extra hugs.
Tomorrow, our girls' soccer team will depart at noon for their rescheduled 5 PM state game at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School. Go Braves!

UPDATE La Conner Families and Community - Thank you for your patience as we manage the details following this afternoon's bus collision.
Due to logistical challenges, the game has been rescheduled to tomorrow, November 14, at 5 PM in Cle-Elum.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Northshore School District and their transportation department for transporting our student-athletes and coaches back home to our campus later today.
Dear LC Families, this afternoon the school bus transporting our girls' soccer team was in a collision on I-405. We’re relieved to report that all students and staff are safe following this afternoon’s accident. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and our coaches and first responders on the scene ensured a swift response. Law enforcement arranged for a city bus to safely transport everyone from the freeway. We appreciate the community’s concern and support, as well as the quick response from first responders. We will provide updates as we work through the next steps.

This is a friendly reminder that there will be no school on Monday, October 14, 2024, in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day. This important holiday recognizes the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and serves as an opportunity to learn about and raise awareness of the diverse cultures and histories of Native peoples.
School will resume on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. We encourage our students and families to take this time to reflect and learn more about the rich heritage and lasting contributions of Indigenous communities.
This year's Orange Shirt Day shirts have been sponsored by the Swinomish Mental Health Department. They purchased 500 t-shirts from Lummi artist Joseph Johnson to be distributed to staff and students. Thank you to the students who helped fold and organize all the shirts.
