We are thrilled to announce that Tommy Murdock, a senior and reigning state 2B hurdles champion, has been selected as the SVH Athlete of the Week for his outstanding achievements in track & field! At the recent Northwest 2B/1B League Championships, Tommy displayed incredible skill and determination by winning an impressive four individual events. His performances were nothing short of exceptional, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
Tommy’s accomplishments include sweeping the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, with times of 14.63 and 39.46, respectively. He also secured gold medals in the 100-meter dash (11.48) and the 200-meter dash (23.40). Notably, Tommy broke his own school record in the 110 hurdles, marking the third consecutive race in which he has achieved a sub-15-second time.
